Battery or Free
range?
Which one would you choose? Many people do not know what eggs they should
buy in a supermarket and they should know because battery eggs and free range
are completely different. As you may
seem the farmers let the chickens do what they like until they lay there egg
that is a free range egg. However the
way the battery eggs are made is cruelty as in the space of one tiny cage four
hens live, but not just one cage millions in one warehouse once they are born
and put in the cage they never come out till the day they die. They live in their own personal waste which
can spread infections among the hens. The
floor off there cage has little holes so they can go the toilet and lay their eggs;
they get food and water but not a life of happiness. Small heaters are provided to make the smell
more refreshing but all that really does is make funny sounds below. So next time when you are in a supermarket
what eggs will you buy can you spare the extra money for the hens or will this
carry on the same?
